Also referred to as mechanical or hydraulic presses where a tool and die surface form the metal into a net shape.The process can be a single stage operation where every stroke of the press produces the desired form on the sheet metal part, or could occur through a series of stages. Common metals formed in the stamping process are Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Copper based materials.
